INTERMUD - Internacional de Mudanzas, S.A. - was founded in 1983 and is a company dedicated to the transport and packing of local and international moving and storage.

Customers of INTERMUD are executives of international companies, diplomatic personnel and the staff of international organizations like the United Nations. INTERMUD offers a door-to-door service, to any country, through an extensive network of agencies and representatives of the well known international van lines.

INTERMUD, Guatemala has been successful in achieving FAIM accreditation, the world's only quality assurance standard for the international moving industry.FAIM (FIDI Accredited International Mover) is sponsored by FIDI, an international federation representing the professional overseas moving industry. FIDI was established in 1950 with the aim of creating an environment in which financially sound and quality minded companies across the globe could work together.

The FAIM quality programme has been developed in conjunction with Ernst & Young Consulting and is intended to be a more thorough and rigorous audit of a company's approach to quality processes than any other type of quality programme in existence.

The audit includes an independent personal assessment undertaken by Ernst & Young, and takes in an examination of files, procedures, customer care and operational efficiency. In addition, members of the management and operational staff are selected at random for interview to ascertain their level of knowledge and competence.

The modern new offices

The company founder introduced new concept which have been welcomed and accepted by the trade. INTERMUD is recignized as a leader in its field and is strongly committed to an evergrowing number or satisfied customers and agents.

Intermud Guatemala

In 1999, new modern premises were inaugurated which include three warehouses with 30,000 sq. ft. of space for storage. Besides trucks and forklifts, is staff of 80 qualified employees has taken care of the needs of local and international customers during the past years.

In 2003 a new warehouse for permanent storage has been built for the demand of this service.
