INTERMUD, Guatemala has been
successful in achieving FAIM accreditation, the world's only quality assurance standard
for the international moving industry.
|
FAIM (FIDI Accredited
International Mover) is sponsored by FIDI, an international federation representing the
professional overseas moving industry. FIDI was established in 1950 with the aim of
creating an environment in which financially sound and quality minded companies across the
globe could work together.
|
| The FAIM quality programme has
been developed in conjunction with Ernst & Young Consulting and is intended to be a
more thorough and rigorous audit of a company's approach to quality processes than any
other type of quality programme in existence. |
The audit includes an independent
personal assessment undertaken by Ernst & Young, and takes in an eexamination of
files, procedures, customer care and operational efficiency. In addition, members of the
management and operational staff are selected at random for interview to ascertain their
level of knowledge and competence.
